During a special meeting of the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission (KHRC), Deputy General Counsel Travers Manley announced retail sports betting will begin in the Bluegrass State on Thursday, Sept. 7, while online sports betting will begin on Thursday, Sept. 28.

Kentuckians may make their first ever sports bet in Kentucky 59 days from now, Beshear said.
